Given what happened at the store previously, I don't think going back to see them is going to get you any further ahead - just sounds like them (and the 0800 number) are happy to pass the buck onto each other without really doing much.

While I agree with you, it was back on the way through and with the newfound information was worthwhile doing, as well as dealing with a completely different person at the store (the previous person had finished their shift).
I believe this other employee is going to be able to resolve the issue and is already handling it in a much better manner.
