OP, I’m sorry to hear that. 2degrees seems like a reasonable option. Check if you’re eligible for their Kiwi Hero plans.

They have recently increased the base plan from $45 to $50, all while adding only 1GB of data from the original 5GB! I think 10GB would be more reasonable, but of course, they want to push customers to the Endless Plus plan.

They’re definitely pushing many customers away, which is sad, but at least they’re still not as bad as Spark in terms of pricing and value for money.

Are you sure? Spark's monthly mobile plans look more competitive. More data, lower monthly fee, and a discount on Spotify

I am very curious to see how many customers One loose this year with them ending so many discounts and forcing people onto newer more expensive plans, I wonder if there is any public data on that for share holders or something.

I have a second phone call arranged with 2Deg on Monday to switch over to them, they assure me my Deco M5 should just work as a router (like it does now) with no changes required and apparently if I have issues I can call them, although their website pretty much says they cant assist with 3rd party routers (like most ISP's).

To re-cap, One were switching my mobile plan and ending my discounts but offering new smaller discounts, meaning I would be paying $181 per month for mobile and internet.

2Deg have offered the same broadband plan and similar mobile plan except 10G data each rather than One's 50gb each, which is still far more than enough anyway all for $137.50 per month, $43.50 per month cheaper.

Pretty happy with that really, also love the fact that when you call 2deg on there 0800 number there is little wait time and each time I have spoken to Kiwis on crystal clear phone lines rather than a noisy call office in the Philippines with someone I struggle to understand.

I think One is trying to transition price sensitive customers like myself to operators using it's network.

These include Kogan and Mighty Mobile.

They have regular sales; I would suggest looking into them. For example the 2 for 1 March sale at Kogan Mobile was 15gb/month for $13.75 or 32GB for $20.42.  I would also suggest separating out your Fibre Broadband and possibly look at a different company as you will get a better deal.
