booyah! There was a miscommunication of the password it seems - I tried some differnet combinations and fell upon the correct spelling :)
Next question if I may?
If i was to need a 'service name' for establishing a connection between my router and modem - what would that be? Or rather, how would I find it out what it is if its a user created name? The last time I set this guy up the isp was listed and i didn't have a problem setting it up...
Scenario: -- Router has a setup wizard with it. -- I plug everything in as it says and when choosing predefined settings (orcon, ihug, telecom etc) xnet is not available. -- I select 'use other' -- I select PPPoA -- It asks me for isp username, password & service name -- It goes through the rest of the setup but fails on the servicename.
I have tried naming it random things but nothing floats, including leaving the textbox blank.
I was toying withthe idea of trying to input the settings myself into the router - but am afraid I will wreak havoc on it :(
No need for any of that. PPPoA is already done in the modem. You simply go to internet options -> connection and set it up as being on a network with auto detect settings. No need for anything else, it will automatically find the gateway.
