Well, the thing is they can't afford to supply enough bandwidth to their customers, during peak.
Try streaming youtube at all during peak hours, it just doesn't work.

well, i just signed up to xtra...sorry wxc. I know that there are some of you here that are going to cringe, but from what I have canvassed from a number of xtra users, they sound ok.

smithse: If they were a bit more clever, they'd implement flexible usage, like a number of isp's provide. Come on, lets face it, an extra 2GB/month should not cost $10 for example.


The Telecom Pro plan seems to be $20.48 for an additional 2GB, the equivalent Intermediate plan for business $7.10 - it just seems too much of a risk for me. It has been kind of amusing seeing all the angst in the States about caps being introduced there in comparison to the NZ market.
