I thought Vodafone and Telecom both had 24 hour customer support? I know XT prepaid has 24/7, and I'm pretty sure (though never paid $1 to find out) that this was available on VF prepaid too.

Not local, but still 24/7. And might cost a dollar.

But what's a dollar between friends?

A dollar could be quite a lot when you're paying it to them to report a fault they've made, and then have to ask for it back (if the customer support staff don't just say the problem must be at your end as its working fine in Egypt)

Sorry, the "What's a dollar between friends?" comment is like this new New Zealand meme.

There you go, double whammy... not only do you have to pay for it, but it's not avilable 24/7.... TRIPPLE WHAMMY.... and they are foreign

Go on, try it now..... 777

ArranH:  Not that it should matter, everyone should receive good customer service, and its a sad day when Telecom is where you go to get it.

A small aside, but an interesting comment. Why is it a "sad day"? I would have thought that it would be a happy day when you can contact Telecom and get good service.

Good service is good service. I would perhaps call it "ironic".

Hehe thats a fair comment. I guess as someone who has been with Vodafone almost half his life its sad to see what was once a good company fall behind a company that was once seen so poorly.

I have recently moved my homephone and broadband back to Telecom and have been very happy. Its just sad that Vodafone have gotten to this point.
