Maybe everyone should join vodafone so that no one ever needs to call telecom or 2 degrees. Problem solved.

Those are averages of course - YMMV.
We say TXT2000 and nobody cares. We say spend $10 and get $400 worth of TXTing and someone wants to know more.
Cheers
Paul
I'd say this is misleading, because if you sent 2000 texts on 2 degrees, it would only cost you $180, not $400.
TinyTim:
Correct. VF says a text is WORTH 20c. I'd say that's pushing it just a bit.

I disagree. Its quite simple:
Don't pay for the $10 text addon pack, send 2000 sms and pay $400 on vodafone.
Or
Pay for the $10 text addon pack, send 2000 sms, effectively giving you $400 worth of texts for $10 on vodafone.
If you really want to compare the pricing to 2 degrees, you are still saving up to $180.
TinyTim:
I know what the cost is, but is that what it's actually worth?
TinyTim: I don't believe *anyone* would be willing to pay $400 for 2000 on-net text messages per month.
Ergo I don't believe *anyone* would think 2000 text messages are *worth* $400 and therefore Vodafone's ads are disingenuous at best and dishonest at worst.

Can we all please join 2 degrees instead? It'd be cheaper.

TinyTim: If I want to buy half a cubic metre of topsoil (a very related product...) I pay $50 for a trailerload, not $200 for fifty 10 litre bags at $4 each. The value of my dirt is $50, not $200. Yes I *could* pay $200 but nobody would do that. If the supplier turned to me and said that I'm getting $200 worth of dirt for $50 then that's... well, you know what I think it is.
Vodafone's other ads - e.g. "How much should you pay for a 60 minute call to the UK" - I have no problem with that wording.
OAO.
