Zorril you say this is a fault of the vodafone network and handset I would be interested where you got this information about the network please??

today i was in dicksmiths lookin at phones and sum guy came up to me and askd if i needed help, i told him how i had trouble with my panasonic phone and he confirmed what zorril said saying that about 5percent of these phones had this problem i think his name was mark i cant really remember. he wasnt in uniform or anything but had a voderfone badge on and then it was really funny coz this guy from dicksmiths came up and pretty much askd the guy wtf he was doing anyhoo...

do I need to take it back to the place I purchased it from or can I just take it into a Vodafone dealer coz I got mine from Noel Leeming and I don't think they are much help

I also took my phone into Noel Leeming but they just said that I could have too much things on my memory card but would that have anything to do with it? coz my ini SD cards like hardly in there lol

I wish it was easy for me, I took my one to Noel Leemings (as mentioned in my previous post) and all they said was that it could be that my memory is full when it is like pretty much empty and that is what you call bad service.

So I am just wandering what Panasonic certified technicians would I be able to go to to get it fixed?

hey there, as a manager of a vodafone retail store the panasonic x701 has been a thorn in my side! It came to light a short time ago that these particular mobiles have a software issue. When the sms count gets to 1000 (combined sent and received) they freeze. It is a simple problem to fix and requires a trip to the service agent. This can be done through any store that sell vodafone products. Go to the store armed with your proof of purchase and this will all be taken care of under the manufacturers warranty, at no cost to you. Good luck.

I have my one fixed, I couldn't be bothered getting turned away again so I rung up Panasonic directly and asked where a certified place that would do my phone for free because my phone was under warranty and they gave it to me, I went to the mobile fone repairs shop and they repaired it for free and now I am happy too :)

Also have a x701 1 month and been in 3 times for repairs, first time for too slow which was fixed and now it won't send ringtones....every thing else ok....
