Hehe, if you really want to try it out, you could sign up to a free 2talk account and plug the settings in from there into the device.
I'm a bit new to this sorta thing so take what I say with a bit of salt! Skype is VoIP but not a true SIP based service where the likes of 2talk, xnet vfx are. So unless the device specifies that it's designed for Skype it won't work- AFAIK.
However if it has SIP ports then it should be able to be used with any SIP based VoIP provider (depending on the providers requirements that is!).

Also, look at DLNA, it provides the ability to stream content wirelessly to other DLNA devices.
Samsung have this natively in their current model screens and the Samsung Galaxy S supports it too, so you can stream media from you Galaxy direct to your screen.
The modem supports DLNA, and I've seen it demonstrate streaming media from an iPhone, via the modem the the DLNA enabled screen, but didn't get the details on how to etc etc.
I use my pc for a Dlna server because windows 7 will covert the audio from a mkv to acc to make it basically a mp4 video. My pc to slow to encoded hd video so only covert the audio sence the other device supports h.264 video. If any one know Linux software what could do this please let me know lol
