freitasm: Should be using .43 and .44...

That should be has been known to give me issues.  My current selection has given me the least headaches for the longest period. :)

I'm using 203.96.152.4 and .12, as was written on my sheet when the installers came, 4 years ago.

Also a combination that has been known to give me a headache.

(And the numbers written on my bit of paper 3 years ago.)

203.96.152.4 and 203.96.152.12 are old Paradise DNS servers that regularly have issues. Using the .43 and .44 ones is highly recommended.

You should be using .43 and .44. If you had problems, these are probably a thing of the past. The Paradise DNS are not always in sync with the latest and greatest and they will cause problems.

You should be using 203.97.78.43 and 203.97.78.44.

Thanks :) Next time something is broken I'll push in that fix....  not fixing something that's not broken today :)

Perhaps it's worth putting these DNS 203.97.78.43 and 203.97.78.44 numbers as a 'pinned' topic at the top of the forum.

These numbers have been mentioned several times over the years but many appear not to be aware of them still using old Paradise ones instead.

Have logged a report of the ISP Fault Page. I'm having issues with initial loading of pages being very slow. Suspected DNS but have moved over to Google DNS on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but no change. I can't log a fault with TCL as I don't own the account and the account holder isn't here.

Have now switched to the 203.97.78.43/44 DNS servers but no noticeable improvement

I switched to 203.97.78.43 as my primary DNS and things seem better.

There was a whole thread on using 8888/4444 dns on AuNog just recently.  Can break things like CDN peering IIRC.

Make 203.97.78.44 your secondary.

Is the secondary ever really used? I'm just curious. I assumed it was in case the first was overloaded or down for maintenance, things like that.
