heavenlywild: My question for all IT folks - if one of those cables failed in the server room, how in the world would you know which one?

Documentation and monitoring.

Normally both ends of all cables have the same label on them.  Look at about 1:34 through the video before it pans to the right.  The BNC connectors have a black label on the cable about 3CM from the connector with a number on them

If your patch lead stopped working wouldn't you notice the light went out on the router.

DC's the same, just on a larger scale.

I want to see the peering path to Citylink.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

LOL never gonna happen with Telstra current arrogant attitude. I find their tv ads and media banter about the UFB so hypocritical when they milk their own duopoly position.

I imagine a similar video to an international server, but at the airport a masked person with "PROXY" written across their chest abducts the merry traveler, blindfolds them, puts them in a plane with no windows and eventually they either find themselves at their destination, or thrown out without a parachute 30,000 feet above the atlantic, depending on the abductor's mood.
