kiwitrc: Ok got it. One other question, why do you run VFX and 2 Talk, as far as I can tell they are pretty similar?

Good question.

I run 2Talk as it is what I have in a cafe I own. We have it registered at home so my partner (who runs said cafe) can answer out of hours calls (yes we do get people ringing at 8pm)

I run VFX as some years back I requested a number I really wanted - I was able to get it as a favour (we used to be a VFX dealer), and I use this as my personal home number. It'd be rude to port off to 2Talk so I have left it on VFX.

Wow, wow, wow.

Well after the initial VoIP hurdle, Vodafone have been surprisingly speedy. 28th (2 days ago) I ordered it, today (30th) I arrive home to no internet, try my new user/pass and whammo. Vodafone Internet is go.

And, I have to add, it lived up to my wild expectation of being able to watch YouTube (at peak-hour no less) without caching.

Very impresed, thanks Vodafone :)

I'm sure the VoIP will work a treat, well it did for 30 minutes until WxC disconnected it by mistake. They tell me it'll be reconnected in the morning though, here's hoping! :)

Thanks for all the responses. To anyone else looking to make the switch, can highly recommend it.

Naked is now $95 per month for me! Grrrrr.

How much is your mobile bill? I'm guessing more than mine! Get a cheap contract and you'll still be saving, even if you never use the phone.

I use VFX over VF with no issues - plugged in on day one and not dropped a beat since. Added to that, VF has got quicker - started at about 17.4 in December and now usually 19.4. I moved from Wellington CBD on fibre optic network (non VF) out to 'rural' NZ VF ADSL2+ and it's MUCH quicker...

I never see my mobile bill as work pay for it.
