Sounds good - I am also interested in having a static IP but don?t need the other products or feel it?s worth $20 for me. ?What was your arrangement?

Just a note on this topic, you will usually find smaller ISPs far more flexible in areas such as this.

Hey,

I have just had exactly the same issue - signed up to Naked Broadband with VF, resulting in significant savings over previous supplier. However, when requesting a static IP (for work reasons), I was also told a $20pm charge was required and a business pack.

Totally agree that $20pm for a static IP is pretty huge, but the customer services reps on the phone told me point blank there was no other option, $20pm or no static IP - no middle option without the rest of the 'business pack'.

A little frustrating after moving to VF to try and save money!

Anyway, that's my two cents.

you do not have to be on a business plan to get a static IP

Call back and if that fails then PM and I will take it further

Hi John,

Thanks for the reply - I actually spoke to three different Customer Service reps, both from the Personal and Business departments, all of home told me the same thing, $20pm for the 'business pack' to be able to get a static IP.

Not necessarily a "Business Plan", but $20pm for the "Business Pack" which includes the static IP...

you can have a static IP on any of the plans
