mrtoken:
I was saying if he pushed the issue saying he saw it on the 24th or 25th (before the change of the website) that he could end up on 1 of the old plans however he would not get the 3gig of data as that expired on the 22nd Aug.

So its best to get the current smart plan as they are better value once you remove the 3gigs of bonus data.

Wasn't disagreeing with your comments

Had a look at Vodafone forums Announcement section?

Clearly states & I quote "Customers who sign up to any Smart plan or Smart for iPhone from now until the 23rd August will automatically receive the 3GB bonus data pack and 1000 PXT for the rest of the life of the plan. New sign ups will also receive double minutes for the life of the plan.
Current customers will also be eligible for the 3GB for the life of their plan."

Posted 26 August 2011 - 11:44 AM

"As more and more customers embrace smartphones, Vodafone has responded by radically changing the way it offers its products and services. From today Vodafone announces sweeping changes to its On-Account plans."

So if you say you saw the page on 25th,

a. FACT - the 3GB promo had already ended. You had enough notice in the media and on Geekzone/VF     forums
b. the new plans had not yet been launched (YET).
c. your browser was holding a cached version of the web page. Clear cookies/clear history would have helped.
d. Google cached pages as mentioned by others can be unreliable in this case.

Between 23-25 Aug old plans were still on sale, WITHOUT the 3 GB promo. That finished on 23rd as stated. Those plans cannot be signed up on or resigned to after 25 August.

And last but not least, these above views do not reflect the views of Vodafone NZ  in any way. Just my 2 cents and personal opinion to steer away any confusion. And like my fellow humans, I am prone to errors so please take that into consideration and correct me where needed!

Cheers...
