Lipex,

You cannot blame this on Vodafone as this is definitely Nokia's promotion, and as johnr said, why should Vodafone promote this? It is all Nokia's promotion. If anything, all the vodafone flyer I have seen, did mention the headphone included with the purchase of 6234. But i guess it carries the buyer beware tag to it.

Once again, this is Nokia's promotion, not vodafone's. doesn't matter if it will help vodafone with increased sales or not. Vodafone did not commission the advertising fund. Not their responsibility.

Yeah but the point is if this was your business would you not use it to help your customers by letting them know!

I was not blaming Vodafone - the whole point of all this was why Vodafone dont use there online space to promote or advise customers on hot deals etc.

Why should I buy a paper or go looking in at there stores why cant this be promoted by Vodafone as for me and others its natual to go to the companies web site.

If previous posts are correct in saying that this is a promotion run by Nokia, then Vodafone may want to avoid promoting it in case Nokia has attached conditions, or they unexpectedly withdraw it. Given that Vodafone have no control over this particular promotion, it's entirely reasonable that they have a good reason for not wanting to promote it.

johnr: lipex666 its not a vodafone promo so why should vodafone put it on there website thats %100 nuts

Thats just asking for trouble

johnr no offence, but I hope your Managers will not see your comment as it is absolutely against "customer focused"
It probably stands in a strict business environment - "not ours why we pay".
Or I go further (still no offence) if Voda Marketing share your opinion then I think VFNZ is not doing well...

Anyway why would they? They have no real competition...

I just thought I'd update this thread - I recieved my headphones via courier today!

Included was also a Nokia 3.5mm headphone to Pop-port connector, and a letter saying:

My address

14 September 2006

Dear My name,

                   Congratulations!

It's not often you're happy with 967th place but you were one of the first 1000 customers to text your details to us.

Please find enclosed your pair of  Sennheiser headphones and mobile adaptor, so you can listen to your music on the move with your Nokia 6234.

Thankyou for choosing Nokia

Nice! Hope you enjoy it!

Also, can you make movie with your 6234? I saw a poster today, with 6234 and said "your own movie studio"... does it come with movie editing software like N93 with Adobe Premier Element 2.0?

chiefie: Perhaps a drop by at Nokia.co.nz website will find yourself with this promo :-)

here's the PDF link to it directly. Nokia 6234 Promo. Currently it seems like Nokia has delivered 966 headphones out already.

That still doesn't make the promotion valid according to the arguement some people who are in love with Vodafone made a few weeks ago regarding the Friday texting glitch. These people said that if Vodafone had a promotion, one could see if it was true by checking out their website. This promotion you are talking about is not on their website, so these Vodafone Lovers (as i like to call them) have just been proven wrong and that customers can't rely on the website to confirm promotions!

What you not getting is, this is not Vodafone's Promotion. IT IS NOKIA'S so confirmation is to be and go to Nokia's website or Nokia customer centre.
