I noted that the PC World article from July 1 stated a few days.....
Here at PC World Towers, we know Vodafone's NZ pricing, though we're still under NDA for another few days (keep watching this space ... and watch out for Scott on TV1's Breakfast with one of only two units in the country July 10).

There's more than 2 units in the country.  Has been for a while.

As for the pricing, yes well.  I expect this thread to get a lot longer.

OMG, I hope not!  I want a new thread when the pricing details are released so it's not mixed in with two long threads of speculation and rumour-mongering.

I can see the new thread name now: "Vodafone NZ FTL, Iphone price plan over $100 monthly".

It's obvious vodafone is going to take the most expensive iphone plan and convert it into NZD.

As far as I can see - nothing is obvious in this game.

Optus have just released plans in Australia, leaving just Vodafone to go over there.

Doubt they'll hold out any longer as Telstra and Optus are starting to pre-sign people.

Assuming a global Vodafone roll out, I guess we'll hear something tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Can you perhaps grace us with a link to optus's plans?

Which is strange because I am told by Vodafone price is not confirmed yet and still pending approval...

Wow, PCW is contributing more 'BS' and roumors to the hype.
Shame on PCW. Only Vodafone should be allowed *sigh* to stoop that low.

We could only dream of capped plans in NZ...

I still have a variable cap on my VFAU mobile... drops to base of $20 if not used and max of $79 for $550 of voice and data
I pay close to double that in NZ for much much less.

Hmm certainly get the raw end of deal to telco services and they say cost of living/business is cheaper in NZ? Who said that? -
However the South Island is much more beautiful (just cold!)

Hi all - quick query regarding Iphone launch etc. Of course the plans etc have not yet been released, but what if you are already an on-account customer?

Basically, a few days prior to the new iPhone announcement, I resigned up to a youchoose 60 plan for 24 months - I am as keen as can be on getting the new iPhone, but don't really want to be stung for swapping over -but from all that I can see, it looks like I will be?

I am a 24mth due in December.. I was told on phone yesterday that I would be able to perform a 'handset upgrade' and stay on same plan.

Other option was to cancel contact and restart.. and in this case they would waive the $150 cancellation fee (probably as over 18mths) - I know this might not economical in your case, but first option might be

So is Vodafone going to be allowing us to pre-order, sign up or make a commitment of some sort?

I sure as hell am not going to queue until midnight like the rest of the Steve worshiping sheep...And this whole having to go to a store deal...I want to go there, pick it up, and be done with it, not go there, on the possibility of something maybe being there, maybe not, who knows.

What's the point of registering if its an information relay of stuff that's already in a press release anyway?
