gazzerwgtn:

I received and email on 29 June saying they were upgrading their network, and for me to make the most of their upgrade, I needed to change to DHCP.

I arrived home last Friday to discover they had managed to change my modem to DHCP.

I only realised this due to cleverloop disconnecting and other VOIP gear not working.

So far the benefits have not happened

@mikehales can you please advise what is happening here? are we losing our static IPs?

DISCLAIMER: Not @mikehales.

Cable customers with a Technicolor modem are being moved from a static to dynamic IP address. If you have a Technicolor modem and want to keep your static IP address, fill in this form. Cisco/Motorola modem users are not affected.

Nish:

@MikeHales - do you know/can confirm if there was an outage on node W40 last night?

There was on outage according to what I can see on my end and then the latency has been all over the show since.

Hiya, could you message me with your customer number - just want to run some background checks.

Thanks

m

@MikeHales - you have PM.

@DjShadow - My connection still appears to be up from what I can see.

Wish I could say the same about the amount of dropped packets to the gateway:

The connection is absolutely horrible to use tonight. :( The congestion got really bad again, and it got bad fast. Hopefully WKH/Island Bay gets some lovin' this week.

Peak hour performance has been quite good in the past couple of weeks. I'm suspecting the big downloaders have upgraded to fibre.

Island/Owhiro Bay purgatory. I'm assuming an attempt to update my Technicolor was made last week - everything stopped working on 3rd Aug. Fixed with a hard reset back to factory defaults, and set config back to substandard connectivity...

After last night's connection dropouts, I thought I better check that the firmware/VF dynamic IP change was successful - however the Technicolor T7210D manual is now unavailable !

I think this is a sign @MikeHales

They might not have done the D-CMTS upgrade to the island bay node yet

Unfortunately not, all other modem manuals can be retrieved. The Technicolor - not so much, and no timeout. Tried a bunch of things including curl -O http://help.vodafone.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/25967  which returns 0%.
