Thanks I messaged her earlier. In the meantime I am in the painful process of ringing Vodafone for the 3rd time today(wait time 30min+ each time) nobody so far has been able to help me. They are trying to get me to do tracert and pathpings and I just want to rip my hair out. On the line now so lets see if I can actually get someone to help me. Every time I ring up and follow the IVR correctly I get put through to the wrong department.....

I am at a loss as to what is going on with my connection. I rung earlier today and apparently the fix to my issue was to reset my DLM profile.. well this hasnt fixed anything so far.

All that has occured thus far is an increase in latency 6ms to 20ms and still 20Mbps DL and only 1.9Mbps UP. My public address has compelely changed also, from the 118.xxx.xxx.xxx range to 203.96.xxx.xxx and strangely in Speedtest shows as Wave internet services rather then Vodafone. I just want my 35/10Mbps 6ms normality back. Having to pay for this sub standard connection at the same time is also frustrating as hell.

it would seem the CSRs you have dealt with arent quite understanding your problem.

to confirm, your modem is synced at 35/10 you simply arent getting that in throughput?

as timA mentioned a post back, sounds like the wrong profile on vodafones side, limiting your speeds. nothing to do with DLM at all.

Yep syncing on the modem as normal 36/10. I tried to explain that to the 3 people Ive spoken to but none seemed to understand, letting them reset profile was probably stupid on my behalf but I get a strong desire to fix my connection when things aren't working as intended :)

Its great that there are knowledgeable guys on here that can identify these issues, however I never seem to come across any of them no matter who I get put through to at Vodafone.

you have spoken with demeter, im sure you will be sorted once its noted, sounds like the csr simply have not pulled up your line, and taken the time to listen and understand what the actual issue is.

end of the day, the csr has to try to work out what your problem is, vdsl, dlm. its a pretty easy one to default to.
