In the shot titled 20120706_142602, I see a stack of white plastic things a little like strangely-shaped dinner plates, and I noticed that there are about 25 of them (presumably one per house). Each one looks like it carries two fibres -- one with a blue sheath and one with an orange sheath. Is this where the splice takes place for each house, or does it serve some other purpose?
yes your correct this is where my connection is terminated, the fibre is run down the street via the grey plastic ETP and then to the house in one run, there are 3 fibre spices, it is joined here, again at the outside of the house and the final one is done to add the fibre pigtail with the termination inside the house.
