sbiddle:mabnz: Does the MP264 allow full bridging to for example, a Mikrotik?
Why would you bother? If you want a VDSL2 modem that's simply acting as a bridge you're far better off buying something for 1/2 the price.
pjnet: My complaint is that it appears from the website that it is Required for a Fusion plan, maybe I have that wrong but thats my understanding.

Can you recommend a quality, bridge-capable VDSL2 modem for ~$140?

Maverick clarified this above. It is not a requirement, but a recommendation. It has features such as VDSL support (required for VDSL strangely enough!), VLAN tagging on the WAN interface (for UFB), as well as being able to be remotely provisioned for VFX.
Based on the early reviews, it's a very solid unit, and can be deployed in any ADSL/VDSL/UFB environment. However, you could run any VDSL modem, and one of the earlier supported Linksys devices for VFX, or DIY if you use OpenVFX.

I'm sorry, but I've read Mavericks post and it's still not clear, Maverick can you confirm the MP264 modem is not required for a VDSL Fusion connection?

eXDee: Just had a look at these after the brand update announcement, i havent been following, but it seems to be more expensive than almost every competitor.
I'd have assumed WXC hasn't updated their plans yet, but the geekzone ads say "new plans", and the ADSL and VDSL price is the same. Very odd.
Also thought it was odd that naked broadband is $10 _more_ than xnet fusion which appears to be naked broadband with VOIP? You could get the service then just not use it?
Confused about their choice of pricing, i suppose it's premium pricing for a certain target market.
