DarthKermit: Voda would rather spend their money buying up other businesses than fixing the fundamental problems like their crappy call centres.

You can never have enough Volvos!
Lias: Yes.. Can we stop buying new toys and give me unified billing and account login between my ex TelstraClear and Vodafone mobile services.. Thanks :-P
We have just shifted our mobiles over to Vodafone and was surprised when I received a separate bill for our mobiles and our broadband. I called them and had a moan but they said "we have different systems". Yeah, no shi*. It's ridiculous. The whole point of moving to them was to consolidate our packages and reduce cost, but it's not consolidated at all, it;'s like we are dealing with two different companies, mobile and broadband.

Sorry but you'll be stuck on different bills unless they are willing to spend a XX million dollars for a new system

For a company with revenue measured in billions per annum, that spent nearly a billion dollars on the purchase of TelstraClear(well over if you include the interest), that seems like a relatively small price to pay.
mattwnz:Andib: Annnnd a 4th billing system to add to the mix.
Vodafone Mobile, iHug, Telstraclear and now WXC
The thing about VF is that they tend to get rid of the brands, so they are just buying customers. Other buyouts from other companies tend to keep the brands, and the goodwill the brand has.

Vodafone NZ's revenues are not in the billions, it will need to fund any changes from their resources and not the parents. From memory they made a loss last fiscal year.
