I would rather I paid $5.00 or so less per month for an account with no rollover data.
Then I would just buy a data pack the 2 - 3 times a year I require extra data.

With the latest Prepaid offerings from 2Degrees the $9 carryover plan is perfect so moving all family members over

50 minutes NZ&AU 150MB and unlimited SMS NZ&AU is awesome

If Vodafone wants to be competitive, they have to do it, Everyone else is doing it but them. Unless they can do something else compelling.

It's great having rollover, for the small price I pay, I get enough data and when I don't use it all I can save it up for travel or when home wifi isn't working. Also when Skinny decide to give out bonuses every now and then, I don't have to use them in that month, I can save them for when ever I need.

I don't call much either, which means I have a rather large number of minutes, so if I did call I wouldn't have to worry

Tbh I don't think it would happen ever and I think the only reason they don't say weather they are going to do is it cause they want people that are with them to hold on and see if they bring it out. I think if they were going to do it they would have by now. Anyhow they have the $5 roaming which they say sets them apart from the rest.

Just because you may not use all your data every month and not care about losing it, doesn't mean everyone else has to think the same, does it?

This thread reminds me a bit of why JohnR and many other people stopped posting here. Mike has a history of being helpful here and he is from what I've seen the last person willing to spend his free time from VF doing that.

Please remeber though this is just one person on his own time with his own question. It isn't some marketing or PR post carefully crafted to correctly represent VF as a company view. Like my post here it is just an opinion of a guy who happens to work at VF who also likes to spend time on these forums.

While I personally have more data than I can use in a month all provided as part of my job I can see the appeal for myself at least over Xmas where suddenly I'm at a no xDSL or fibre area with visiting siblings wanting to mooch of my data. Having an extra 50GB saved up over a year would be sweet.

To go back to that dinner analogy. Not everyone thinks the same. Some people insist on getting a doggy bag every time. Others insist on only eating at buffet's. Others insist on eating everything they purchase regardless of whether they are full or not. Finally a bunch of people just decide I've had enough pay the bill and leave whatever they don't want on the plate. Quickmart is quite right but it goes both ways.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

@Jaxar Fair enough - JohnR was a real loss - but if people who represent corporates here are going to post ‘controversial’ comments and then claim them as their personal position, maybe they should consider not posting under their corporate banner.

My posts here are for Vodafone but I am also a customer so wearing both hats in that context. Was interested to join in conversation to better understand, my wife who doesn't work here has never even thought about carry over data but I understand the other views.
