I think you'll find that John has long since outed himself as a Vodafone staff member.

No surprise/secret there.

Cheers

Paul

johnr: Not me neither!

I don't work on the front line or complaints

What do you do?

What do YOU do? Wink. I'd rather not say, I've made a few strong statements here. I'm glad though that you and your colleagues were given some information.

Paul is right damian, john has stated he's a staff member Smile If his zealousness annoys you, just do what most people do with regards to Vodafone PR (or indeed PR in general), ignore it. Though he does know what he's talking about so it's best to listen once in a while.

John definitely isn't in PR. Absolutely not a PR person, right John? Can you imagine it?!

Tongue out

Cheers

and in a PR role ROFL no

I am not paid by Vodafone in anyway to post here. (I wish) I have a job that relates to my hobby

johnr: I work for Vodafone NZ and went to a 1 hour training session and also another follow-up session about 2 weeks later.

Johnr you really should state your afiliation before flaming in defence of your employer.  You have every right to, of course, but it is courteous to be up front about your bias.

D.

The only official Vodafone presence here is Paul. Johnr has been a contributor in the forum for many years now and he's been of great value helping people and providing his "insightful" opinion.

He never hid the fact he works for Vodafone. As a newcomer I recommend you look at peoples' profiles and check previous posts - you will find many interesting bits of information that will certainly make you change your opinion in some topics.

Fair cop, but your profile doesn't state this (unless I'm missing something) and a noob like me isn't going to be familiar with your previous posts.  Nuff said.

I'm looking forward to hearing from one of the Voda employees in regard to my earlier post - I've not yet seen anyone spring to Vodafone's defence in response to this yet.

damianf: Paul/Bill/TechFreak,

My motivation for posting was neither to gather support for my cause nor to seek help with a resolution.  Thanks for the offers of support and advice, but all I want to do is bring the TDRS to the attention of readers of the forum.  This service was long overdue and I don't think that nearly enough people know about it.

Nuff said - happy posting.

I thought your earlier post was quite clear.... I have bolded the statement I thought most relevant....

You actually want help now?

My views are mine and don't necessarily reflect that of my employer.

Damian, I offered to discuss it with you earlier in the thread and you said:

I am happy to work through the issues you've raised, but I don't think you want to do that in public, so again I say to you feel free to contact me and I will see what can be done. If you want me to pull the file and find out what's going on, I will. I'd prefer not to discuss it all in a public forum, however, without your permission.

Cheers

Paul

Nope.  I haven't asked for help.  Opinions would be much more interesting regardless.

Since there's no need for help from Vodafone since the OP doesn't want it... and since the original message was sent ("TDRS is an excellent service that is long overdue.  We may still be getting ripped off by our telcos, but at least we can now take disputes to them on a level playing field."), then I think it's time to lock this discussion because it's going nowhere.
