DodgerNZL: Well, looking at the above list none of the family phones are going to get wifi calling enabled.
Poco x3
Samsung A8
Nokia 8

Anyone got any suggestions or workarounds?
We get poor Vodafone signal, and no Spark. Hence the suresignal.

Yes bit of a pity about the Samsung A8 - better specs than a number of the current gen A series

Does anyone know what the story is with the Dual Sim versions of Samsung phones and Wifi calling.

We have a SM-G988B/DS (dual sim) and wifi calling is not available in the phone menu.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

@hairy1 Is it on the approved list for VodafoneNZ WiFi calling?

The SM-G988B is listed. There is no sign of any DS notations in the coming soon list either.

Then it is a no go at this stage

TOBE:

Just followed up today and been told that if you are on the OneBusiness plan they are unable to activate VoLTE at this time.  They are looking to implement a workaround but do not have a timeline for this yet.

I have just heard that OneBusiness + VoLTE (and by extension VoWiFi) is in the final stages of testing, hopefully it goes smoothly and you get an official update soon!

Looks like this has been activated today for OneBusiness users

Just got a txt saying it looks like they are going ahead with the sure signal switch off on friday, while many modern phones are not yet working with a viable alternative including the Note10.

We have scheduled a call with 2degrees this afternoon to talk about replacing our 25 fleet phones.

Really disappointed with vodafone. This has been simply a major screw up on their part.

After spending years recommending them to our customers and spending several thousand dollars on getting public units at my cost installed, I feel quite cheated by vodafone.

From my understanding, they must shut down this service by tomorrow as it will cause other issues if it was to be continued, maybe they have a pending system upgrade?

Agree with your points, its a shame they didn't proactive offer new handsets to these customers or have the firmware ready BEFORE they shutdown the sure signal

Last year some time I got an Oppo A54 after checking with Vodafone that it was WiFi calling enabled and would have it within a few months. The Vodafone status page confirmed this, it'd be enabled within a few months. A few months later, it was still due to be enabled within a few months. A month or two later, with Suresignal shut down, it was still due to be enabled within a few months. Then it was a fixed date, January or February. It's now March, nearly three months after Suresignal was shut down so I have no reception in some areas and the date to have it enabled is still given as 1-2 months in the past, with no actual WiFi calling enabled.

Is this grounds for a complaint for FTA "false and misleading behaviour" to the Commerce Commission?

Problem is I don't really want a refund since that just relocates the problem to a different phone, and apart from the lack of WiFi calling I'm quite happy with the Oppo. I'll see how much enthusiasm I have for writing to the Commerce Commission...

Any advice on getting WiFi calling working with a Samsung A52s 5G? Vodafone SIM is in slot one and VoLTE is working. 2Degrees SIM in slot 2 with WiFi calling working.

@PANiCnz Is the handset on the VodafoneNZ approved list?
