Still having the same problems this morning. Access to international sites are problematic at best. Does anyone have an ETA on when this might be fixed?
Well just to throw a spanner in the works...after 4 days of abysmal performance (webpages partially loading, timing out), all is fine here (Kapiti, cable) since yesterday (Monday) and all my usual European/US sites seem to be accessible at normal speeds.
kinsten, I assume that "informed" comment was sarcasm or is something else weird going on - all I can see there are a couple of localised outage notices from October 12?
Yea sorry, it was my attempt at sarcasm. =) Extra annoying for me, as I now have a customer who wants additional email stuff setup, and my hosting is all done off-shore. Luckily I have discovered that if I use IP and ports, I can access everything I need.
OK, I have been proven wrong, you actually have to digg a little deeper and then you can see the actual messages. eg. Paradise some issues - unknown reason
We had problems at work on our TelstraClear connections with only international sites before midday, I switched across to our backup BigTime connection.
Seems like they are still having problems now, or have not updated their status page.
Tyler - Parnell Geek - iPhone 3G - Lenovo X301 - Kaseya - Great Western Steak House, these are some of my favourite things.
Yes, our connections are all back to normal (as far as I can tell). I noticed their service status pages updated yesturday shortly after our posting in here. Convenient. I do hope there will be no more problems. I wonder if they will issue discounts for partial service outage?
Yes, but atleast they are actually posting the warning on their website, instead of ignoring this very valuable and expectent tool.
Personally we are not experiencing any difficulties, as far as I can tell. But we are now connected to Direct Fibre link (woohoo). So all NZ traffic is 100mb.
Not experiencing any browsing issues with international traffic.
