billgates:
have you logged a call with VF yet regarding this issue? I could not browse a lot of website's like google and kotaku last saturday. gave them a call at 11am. got a call back from VF same day 4pm. all fixed. please try now. and yes it was fixed.

As mentioned re-opened the ticket that I logged back in 4th Aug. I shouldn't have to phone VF on a regular basis the problem should be fixed permanently.

I too have joined up with this Ultimate 30gb deal with Vodafone. Pages load up ok but down loads are at dial up speed average about 60kbs. Speed test came back at 600kbs. So what is going on with this Vodafone service.

Where you located? I've been a Voda customer for ages (since iHug prior to the buyout) and have noticed declining speeds....but can't tell whether that is just more people in my subdivision sharing a scarce resource...or Voda,s service. Used to enjoy 5-9Mbps but am lucky to get 3Mbps nowadays. Fine for web browsing but direct downloads could.should be faster (at least for local sources).

I am in Upper Hutt and move from the CBD side of the Hutt River where I had cable broadband at great speeds. Now on the Totra Park side of river were you can't get cable so went with the Vodafone deal. The down loading speeds are just rubbish. is any one else have this issue?

FYI

About 3 weeks ago I decided to go back to the Vodafone modem that was supplied when I switched to Vodafone.

I've not experienced any of the issues since.

I've not gone through my linksys router to see why the difference but may pursue this at some stage, however not in a hurry given the family is happy including gaming.
