I have recently changed my internet over to Vodafone from Telecom, The internet was working sweet as for a few days now its super slow, even trade me takes ages to load, its ungodly slow at night, I don't think its anything on my end since i get 6.5mbits no matter what time of the day it is.  I have also found that a lot of images on websites won't load when it suddenly goes slow using the Vodafone Complete modem, using my old Siemens Speed-stream makes the internet feel a lot faster but Its still hit and miss using most websites, i can still download things like itunes from apple at 800kBps so is vodafone having some issues?

Here are the stats from my modem...

Just to quickly add to that post...
Steam took over 3hrs to update, and it can't even Log In, it just waits and the internet does nothing.

The best thing you could do is call the fixed line help desk get a ticket logged (take note of ticket number)

Thanks John

Looks as though they are having problems with international traffic via Sydney again.

Speedtest.net to Sydney and see what happens. I get 400ms or so then it times out.

Pretty much having the exact same problems as yourself, just switched everything over a few days ago and it was great Thursday/Friday now terrible. Many similar posts over on the Voda Forum.

I've just switched to Vodafone too, and have begun to experience the same thing.

I only hope it's going to be a very short temporary issue.

Speed test stats to Sydney:
3.65Mb/s  download
0.08Mb/s  upload
4010 ms   ping

@jpolapop Its nice to know its not just me having the issue. I think there is a major issue somewhere in Vodafone but they won't tell us what it is or when it will be fixed. The first 2 days I was on Vodafone the speed was excellent but now... I really hope they can get it fixed ASAP

Me too, FYI I've logged a question with Vodafone as a personal customer, I think you should too if not already.

Out of interest I did a speed test check just to the Auckland server and it gave me 2898ms really poor given I'm in Auckland, however, 5min later got 48ms.

Although I've had success with speedtest often the download test doesn't complete although it goes up to 9-13 Mb/s but then gradually and slowly declines then errors, I've not seen this before but happened from the time I got the new account.

Note sure what this all means, but do you use Vodafone's modem or your own modem? I used their modem initially but it wasn't granular enough for me i.e. configuration as with my Linksys router and I also use a separate wireless router. Works fine, however I may just go back to that to see if it makes any difference, although if someone comes back soon enough and says it's definitely Vodafone I'll stick with the current setup (though easy to change)

@jpolapop I am currently using the Vodafone Complete modem, i was using my Siemens Speedstream that I got a few years back and there is no difference in speed or ping. Im pretty sure it's something in Vodafone I have looked at Vodafones Twitter and seen quite a few people asking about it.

Same with me, problems logging into steam since Friday, weird internet speeds come and go. I had thought it was a isolated issue with steam. Good to know a fix is coming.

Was that "change" the _announcement_ that you guys will be offering some form of naked DSL (probably on the red network only) next week?
