Nice one Telstra, this is really appreciated. We were using 85-90GB on the 60GB plan so now get to enjoy the 90GB for the same *plan* price, but without all the excess charges!

Currently on 90GB plan but use about 150-200GB per month so having 120GB for a slightly lower price ($4) before I hit overage is awesome. Plus the added benifit of 25Mbs.

It's interesting that in Australia I think Telstra were running their D2 network at up to 40mbit.

Telstra just announced 100 Mbps services in Australia today. But that's off topic.

Just in time for me. The $20.00 a month I save on the 60GB plan will cover the Telstra Clear $20.00 a month mobile plan I have just signed up for.

Mobile plan activates on the 7th Dec, Billing period starts 9th Dec.

Everything with Telstra Clear now, TV, Landline, Internet, and mobile...

geek4me: I'm guessing only 1 or 2% of cable customers are on these larger plans so the loss in income to TelstraClear from the big users would be less than if all customers were given a $2 price reduction.

I think the percentages would be much higher then 1 to 2% if you are talking 40 and up. Personally I am on the 60 now and will be going to the 90 plan. No torrenting or the like just a family of four with two teens that love youtube and in the case of my son running minecraft servers.
It would be great to get some numbers from TC but me thinks that is not going to happen some how.

It's good to see that TCL is soooo very predictable: Today is the second day on which the changed broadband pricing is valid. And indeed the table on the "Naked Broadband" page has been updated, BUT judging from the prices for the so called packages no one has yet bothered to adjust the pricing for the broadband usage options.

Or does it mean that for example the triple service with 120GB should continue to cost ca. $250 whilst the naked broadband one now goes for ca. $136.

It's not that I'm really bothered if they manage to stuff up these things that look pretty basic from the outside (like including an action in the big "marketing planning exercise" that preceded these plan changes to change ALL relevant parts of their own web page in time). It just happens to fit with the advice I give other people when they have any plan change with TCL: that is to VERY carefully check the next invoice, as judging from my own experience they have pretty much every time managed to smuggle in a mistake.
