This is the oficial press release, received minutes go. Please everyone note this is not a promotion. This is a calling plan.
Vodafone New Zealand today launched BestMate™ on Supa Prepay.
Supa Prepay is a new calling plan for Prepay customers that allows Vodafone to provide great base rates and added value deals like BestMate™ – an option that until now wasn’t available to Prepay customers.
First in the New Zealand market, BestMate™ allows Prepay customers to call, video call and TXT their Vodafone BestMate™ as much as they like…round the clock….24/7 - for only $6 a month!
BestMate™ is just one of several exciting new benefits Vodafone Prepay customers can now enjoy when they choose to go on Supa Prepay.
“We are keeping things simple for our customers, ensuring we give them price certainty, choice and value,” says Shelley Watson, General Manager, Customer Base Marketing.
“We’ve talked to our customers about what they want to replace Free TXT Weekends, and BestMate™ came out on top.
“Almost everyone has one Vodafone number they call, video call and TXT often. In fact 20% of the average Prepay customers’ spend is a call or TXT to one person,” says Watson.
All Supa Prepay customers get a great flat base rate of $0.89 for ALL national voice and video calls anytime plus capped calling where they pay no more than $2 for 2hours to any 021/029, nights and weekends call. Then they choose from the following Add-Ons:
• One Vodafone BestMate™ they call, video call and TXT all they like for $6 per month
• TXT2000 which provides 2,000 TXTs to 021/029 numbers for only $10 a month
Supa Prepay customers can also call the 15 top international destinations within the base rate of $0.89 a minute – Australia, USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.
For all existing Prepay Vodafone customers it is FREE to switch to Supa Prepay! Simply go in store or TXT ‘SUPA’ to 756 and Vodafone will TXT you back to confirm you’re switched to Supa Prepay, then add-on BestMate™ & TXT2000 as you like.
New customers can head in store to buy a Supa Prepay sim pack or get up and running at the Vodafone v.store – www.vodafone.co.nz/vstore.
Aaron Beckman, Vodafone Head of Consumer Products adds, “Supa Prepay is powered by a major technology upgrade which allows us to offer customers more flexibility in the way they use their mobile today.
“This is just the beginning of the great flexibility and value for all our customers. In early 2007 we plan to offer customers the chance to nominate more than one BestMate™ and On Account customers will also be able to take up a similar deal.

I think it sux too. Vodafone should just make txt and calls free for everybody. That would be so much better.

Yer for sure and the staff don't need paying they work for nothing
Power company does not need to be paid
Don't need a building to put staff in
The network costs nothing to run and Nokia just give the cellsites to vodafone for free
The land owners where sites are have them on there for nothing
