As above. Note that if you put three DNS you never know which one will return results. It may be a "round robin" algorithm and if the first two fails it will use Google's DNS until it fails - in which case you're stuck with bad CDN, etc.

In any case when a lot of users complain, all from different regions, Vodafone would do well to push the big red "RESET" button in their transparent proxy/cache farm. We all know from time to time it gets completely stuffed up.

Perhaps the cache farm is using Google DNS?

(Above question intended as a joke, but have anyone actually checked it?)

I had similar problems with sites not loading or being real slow a little while ago.
I initially thought it was our new fibre service.

It does seem to have improved recently (I hope that doesn't jinx it)

I'm still having issues (mainly turbine.com still not loading, LTORO still not connecting). Removing the Google backup DNS made no difference.

I can't brain today. I have the dumb.

yeah - I'm having issues still today. Have to refresh links a few times on certain sites before they will load.

Have some friends reporting weird issues as well, they are on ADSL in Dunedin, will be going around to check their computers, network and connection tomorrow, if I can't find any issues with their computers etc, will get them to phone the helpdesk.

Definitely something not right as mentioned by others. I'm on InHome cable in Christchurch.

After checking the computers this morning, our friends have lodged a fault with the helpdesk and apparently they have placed a "tap" on the line?

Not sure if that was the correct action......

Should we really have to call help desk which can 30mins of our time to report faults that have been recorded here for days!!!!

Does Vodafone not have a way of keeping an eye on its own damn networks for faults without waiting for 300 people to phone and complain about the same fault?

I have removed the "ANSWER" to this topic as it seems other areas are now being affected - this doesn't seem to be a "planned work" anymore but something else in the network affecting specific nodes.

I don't think this is just ADSL as it is affecting my InHome Cable... patchy working yesterday, today seems a bit more worse on certain sites.

I can place my input on this. After a full straight week or 2 it's been patchy. Mostly fine recently apart from again high ping rates to Sydney. (90 instead of a previous 60-70 which is very unstable at very rare times)
