For a company with revenue measured in billions per annum, that spent nearly a billion dollars on the purchase of TelstraClear(well over if you include the interest), that seems like a relatively small price to pay.

There's no relationship between all 3 systems . They talk differently.
aw: I've had a former TCNZ engineer tell me that VF's main interest was spectrum, not infrastructure. Indeed, they refused to entertain the idea of using existing TC fibre at a customer's premises that ran right into the data room. They insisted on wanting us to get VDSL then later UFB into the building instead. Then failing to ever start the job for months. We gave up and went to WXC, and are now thinking: bugger.Salami:
