freitasm: He is still with Vodafone. He asked to be removed from Geekzone.
I guess it gets to a point where it is too hard to front for a company like that...
If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
I might be wrong but hasn't he done this before?
He did, last time it was thanks to SteveON (who incidentally doesn't post here anymore).
End of an era. I bet he's back one day though. He can't help himself :)
aw, crap.
He better come back as DucatiJohn!

Didn't he leave once before, and then come back?

I think you are right, but this is probably a different thing.

Ahh well, sorry to see JohnR go. But I can understand it all too well.
Take a year off John. See what you think then.
Just adding my voice of thanks to the many others. I thought JohnR did a fantastic job in difficult circumstances. Anyone who has worked in IT knows that bad stuff often happens but that the way that you deal with that bad stuff makes all the difference. JohnR fronted for Vodafone in a very professional yet personal manner. That takes some doing, and can only happen when the person has integrity and is sincere and honest, yet loyal to the organisation he or she works for. Good on you JohnR for all your work, you have made a difference. Hope to see you back here in whatever capacity works for you.

Thanks JohnR, you helped a lot of people on here.
