In the past vodafone have said things like we have no plans to do such and such..

Vodafone will be watching the market very close and will only need to introduce rollover if they have to, Finance will also need to approve it

I think they aren't doing it because the Billing system for postpay doesn't support it and it would be a muti-million dollar upgrade to add the support ...

It's not a billing issue or system issue as VodafoneNZ for postpaid has the whizz bang matrixx platform

The accountancy behind it could be quite messy because prepaid data would probably sit on the balance sheet as a liability, but they wouldn't want to assume that all accumulated data would end up being used. So, they would need some complicated valuation formula approved by their auditors and then their accounting system would need to be able to administer it.

 

In big corporates with high transaction volumes these sorts of things can get surprisingly complicated.
