Follow this to log in and have a look around for line statistics - things like Mbps and dBs etc. then post that.

Thanks for your help but I can't log in as I have no idea what my username and password are for the Vodafone hub  😆  I've tried our internet code and password but that doesn't work.  Sorry to have wasted your time.

Cheers, Chrissie :-)

From the guide....
Enter your Username and Password:

  • Username: vodafone
  • Password: The password is found on the bottom of your modem

I've tried using my email address as username, plus our password (as per the modem).  Also tried 'vodafone' as the username followed by the password.  But no luck - I'm told the username or password is wrong. I tried to request my forgotten username as per their instructions but keep getting an error. Also tried to enter my cell number, and my Vodafone customer number.  Thank you for all your help but totally understand I'm wasting your time now!  Thanks

Thanks, you're correct in regard to the media releases however I really believe Vodafone should have contacted their customers directly with this information.

According to this thread, they have been doing exactly that since October.

Look at the sticker on the bottom of the router. There should be two different usernames and passwords. One for your WiFi connection, and one for the admin login.

Some of the rural ADSL cabinets suffer from congestion, so its not just the modem line stats that are important.  It can be useful to do an “end to end” test too.

I’d suggest some packet loss tests.  Make sure no one else in your house is using the internet, and get within a couple of metres of your modem.  Congestion is usually the worst at around 8-10pm.  From windows command line try

ping -n 100 1.1.1.1

Or from a browser something like https://packetlosstest.com/

So in summary.

You didn't update software on phone, you didn't look at vodafone website, you don't know what your username or password are.

Dad that's not you is it?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

13.3 isn't too bad. It may be something else in your setup causing your wifi calling to have issues.

Could easily be upload saturation. Even that upload speedtest is slow compared to the sync rate showing something is probably using quite a bit of bandwidth.

The Suresignal VPN tunnel and codecs used could have handled possible saturation better.

No I don't believe we can.  We're in a rural area with an old system.
