No worries, my order status has just updated. They are picking the order now and will give it to Courier Post soon for delivery today.

drxcm: Got mine this morning at 830 at first mobile in Newmarket.

By 0831 all the black 32gb ones were gone (apparently they were only allowed to order 4)

Big queue when I left the shop...

Walked into Downtown at 8 just as they were openning (coincidence).  Was out in 15 minutes.  I was the only one there the whole time.  They got 60 phones total with most being the smaller ones as they thought they would be the most popular - why I am not sure.

I wonder how they're (Vodafone) prioritising the orders made online? I ordered mine at 12:09am and the status is still telling me that they're looking at it and will contact me shortly...

Not holding out much hope of getting mine till next week at some point

glad to hear someone else is having the same as me. Did a midnight order as well for the free docking station and still no change in order status.

online call centre when rung made noises about 3 business day deliveries...

Mine's a re-sign of an existing iPhone contract. Am assuming that perhaps due to the fact that all those that signed up to one of these plans last year on launch day would make tomorrow the 12 month anniversary, that they're holding these orders back until tomorrow or later to process?

perhaps their system can't process a re-sign unless it strictly is more than 12 months in to the original contract. Who really knows. I'm not too concerned about when it goes through, as long as it does!

I believe if you buy it outright the process is pretty straight forward and all last night's orders should have been fulfilled this morning. On account purchase takes longer as they possibly have to manually check your details.

I just got mine from Student IT in Auckland. It took about 4 hours to authorize the purchase (The shop had to contact Vodafone and wait for them to sort out the resigning process). The phone is with me now but the new plan won't be activated until next week. I was told that there is a glitch in their system.

Still, quite an effort to spend your money though.

Now I don't care how much the early termination charge is. If the competitors come out with a right plan that offers better value, I'm out.

I got my phone delivered about 30mins ago. A recap of my details:

- I purchased the phone outright at midnight using the free iPhone dock promotion email.
- Order confirmation email came through at 12:10am
- Tax invoice email came through at 12:55pm
- Delivery email (less tracking number because it was an express delivery) came through at 1:54pm
