Hi all,

I just had a bit of an update which I thought I'd pass on...

There is currently some delays when TXTing to 756 to change plan (i'm guessing this is demand related). I know this is being worked on as the top priority, but in the short term I suggest you change your plan by calling 777 (to short cut to the plan change menu, hit 2 - 2 - 3).

To change via 777, you will need your pin number. If you don't have this then it might be easiest to just wait for the TXT response from 756, just be patient... (in the humble words of Hitchikers Guide - Don't Panic!) ;-).

Note to EVERYONE : This is unacceptable in the forums, please keep it about the issues, not the chatters.

Now on with the discussion about Supa Prepay / Bestmate now available

I have started a flaming thread for anyone who really feels the need to vent...

I have a question, why wasn't MMS/PXT included in the bestmate package ?
Was it just something simple, like the volume of traffic generated ?

Vodafones reply to my rant:

Dear Adam,

Thank you for your email.

I can assure you that Vodafone has not forgotten about our on-account customers and that we will be launching something similar in the new year that I believe will give our on-account customer more value.
When our new products or services are released, then we will have it advertised on our website and via the press.

I do apologise for not being able to give you more details about what exactly will be offered but I do encourage y ou to stay on your current plan until we release more details.

If you have any further questions please reply to this email or call our Customer Contact Centre on 777 from your Vodafone mobile or 0800 800 021 from any other phone. From overseas you can contact us on +64 9 355 2007.

Yours sincerely.....

Something similar? I don't like the sound of that.

Why can't they just give us the same bloody deal?

And why can't they upgrade the Txt 1000 Addon to txt 2000 to be in line with PrePay customers? It can't be that hard!!

I want $2 for 2 hours!!! I dont want to change my number!

I'm lovin the plan, I get my home phone and mobile to ring simutaneously and I can transfer the call back home so the wife can also chat. All for Free! Just use a small analouge GSM gateway - works sweet and I dont change the plan on my mobile.

I use a 2N Smart Gate and you can buy them from nicegear.co.nz or hitechsupplies.co.nz
