Anyone know if you sign up to the upgrade and then decided to change back down if the modem must be changed back down also?

For example, our current new customer offer of $75 for phone, broadband and 40Gb of data

So any word on when inHome customers can get anything close to this? Since y'know its been a whopping $30 month more ($105.88/m) for over 2 months now?

You could always go naked cable 40G + xnet VoIP which works out about $76 per month.

True, although I'd probably have to add on more data in that case to compensate for data used by VoIP :p

Hi itxtme. The upgraded cable modem is capable on all plans therefore you will not need another technician visit scheduled if you downgrade your plan.

Cheers, Gary

Hi Gary

Just spoke to a CSR who informed me that TCL can't upgrade my service to the new 100G plan in the near future, because there are no new modems available! Frown

Ive ordered the service, but they cant switch my modem for about 2 weeks :(

Also is there any known problems on the network today, international speed has been incredibly variable the last 2 days, a server I normally get 400-1500kb/s to I cant even get 10kb/s to at the moment!  yet speedtests seems fine.. (4-15mb/s) downloading from the same server at work I get 800kb/s

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Gary,

Do you get to keep your IP number, or do you get a new IP with the change of modem?

I ordered this service last night and as a follow up decided to contact TC by telephone today. After a 40 min wait I eventually got to speak to someone, I was informed that this service would not be available for a while as they have none of the new modems available. Customer services then went on to say that i could go out and purchase a new modem. So really no further forward.

We use roughly 40GB of data a month, but I'm interested in our speed being faster than 15Mbps. When will 100Mbps be available for the other plans?

Just ordered the new 100 gb plan. Wont be installed until the 2nd. Operator told me it was because the technicians were all down in chch. No mention of modems being in short supply.

Kopkiwi: It is beyond annoying being limited to 25mbps speed living in an apartment building.

Virtually all of the Wgtn CBD has VDSL2 and you'll get more than 25Mbps

Price is a little prohibitive though.

Hi all - here are the facts:

Modems: there are plenty in stock so upgrade if you want.

Upgrading to the 100Mbps service: easiest way to do this is through the website, using 'My Profile' in 'Customer Zone'. (Log in and click the 'Order or change products' in the box on the right). You'll receive a confirmation email and a few days later you'll get a call to arrange a day and time for the install.

Install times: lead times are longer than we'd like due to the popularity of both this new 100Mbps service and our $75/month phone and broadband package.

Cheers, Gary

Any idea of how long we can expect? I signed up Tuesday afternoon using the upgrade path you just suggested but apart from receiving an email just after placing the upgrade I've heard nothing!
