This is 100% out of Vodafone NZ hands we have provided everything to Facebook about the SMS issue a long time ago

thinair: I sent an email to Vodafone yesterday regarding this issue.. here's their reply.

Dear Adam

Thank you for your website enquiry.

I can confirm that we currently have an issue with Facebook and customers not being able to subscribe using the text service. Our technicians are aware of this issue and are working on getting this resolved however we currently do not have a time frame as to when this issue will be resolved.

In the meantime you can access Facebook on your mobile. To do this you simply freeTXT 'FACEBOOK' to 5483 (on their Vodafone live! capable mobile, access it through Vlive! or go to http://m.facebook.com on your mobile web browser. Please note standard data rates apply to use internet on your mobile.

Kind regards

Enrico

Ask Facebook they are the only ones that can resolve this issue

wouldnt be so bad if the facebook team had a better system for contacting them

i tryed to and all i got was a email that said this

"Q: I'm having trouble verifying my account.
A: Please try requesting a few more codes if you have not yet received a code to verify your account. If you receive an error message that you have reached the code limit, please wait a couple of days before trying to verify with your mobile phone again. To verify your account with your mobile phone, request codes at the following page:

https://register.facebook.com/confirmphone.php

If you are seeing any other error, please reply to this email with a description of the error.

Q: I tried to activate my mobile texts (receive notifications on my phone through text) but I didn’t receive a confirmation code text.
A: Please try sending “On” (without quotation marks) instead of “f” to the same number. Also, make sure that your phone does not include a signature at the end of your text messages. This can interfere with Facebook Mobile correspondence. Finally, be sure that outgoing texts are still included in your service plan.

Unfortunately, if this still does not resolve your problem, you will have to contact your mobile carrier or wait until a later time to try activating this feature again. "

Let the finger pointing begin!

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

Untill we have some reasonably senior knowledgeable person from facebook come into the thread to say its vodafone, there is no doubt IMO where the blame lies.

I do think VF could probably do more about getting FB to sort it out but that's possibly a difficult thing to make happen internally to VF.

Vodafone NZ have done everything we can do including myself you make it sound so simple but its not,

We would of liked this issue resolved along time ago but we are doing nothing different from when the service first started
