first, pulling the plug on your $12 add on, then restricting your bestmate allowance I know you would come back and say it is 60 min per day blablabla, and it is $XXXX value you are getting for $6, $12 or $18 but the point is, why do this?

It does make sence. You just need to understand why.
After Vodafone launched this plan the Commerce Commission launched an investigation into it. They believe that the Talk plan raises anti-competition issues.
If you want somebody to complain to try the Commerce Commission.
Ironic that I posted a thread in March asking if on-net pricing was anti-competitive or not, then Vodafone releases Talk, and then the ComCom frowns leading Vodafone to pull it.
The general consensus on that thread seemed to suggest on-net pricing wasn't anti-competitive.
I deliberately avoided steering that discussion into any particular direction but certainly feel on-net pricing discourages competition in the off-net pricing, which is bad for New Zealanders IMO.
