Is there a reason that it has to be Cisco? A very quick search found http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XC6GJ0/ so is there something preventing the use of other brands?

sbiddle:  What DOSCIS3 modems should they use if they launch right now? End of line obsolete hardware that is no longer supported by Cisco, or new Cisco hardware that still has bugs to iron out? Which would you prefer?



Really?  Is there a DOSCIS3 modem out there already that's EOL?

Is Motorola not making DOSCIS3 modems?  Is there no upgrade to the Surfboard?

...and to answer Steve's question, if the old one works and will do 100/10 then I'll take that one thanks.

Yes, there are DOCSIS3 EOL products already. The old one works (I have one here), but it seems to overheat and I had it replaced late last year.

Edit:  ya, I know this is not the cisco one, but you get the idea...  and also ya...  I'm more than happy to drill holes in a car fridge if it means making my nets 5 times faster to upload!

I'm sure TelstraClear engineers will have a look at this suggestion... Also good for beer availability while "surfing the net".

It depends. With pr0n it's a few terabytes. Without pr0n it's a few gigabytes. We accept payment via Paypal or Western Union money transfer to Nigeria...
