" ... Above from christchurch.speedtest.vodafone.co.nz ..."

OR wellington.speedtest.vodafone.co.nz
OR auckland.speedtest.vodafone.co.nz

.... depending upon your location

Sideface:

But it's still a krapi cable connection undecided

Been so long many people will be unaware of the original Kapiti Cable Congestion thread and wonder why crappy is spelt wrong!

Is your international/real world performance any good? I'm guessing your node was upgraded.

Given I get abysmal performance even when speeds are good I'm nervous work will complete without noticing much improvement.

Perhaps its possible there's another underlying issue which is being masked by the speed issue? I'm guessing there might be a few of those that come out of the woodwork once the upgrades are done.

Yes, I have had ticket escalated and someone remote accessed and acknowledged things weren't right, waiting to hear back from 'complex' team. First raised with vodafone in May. No clues as yet what underlying issue is though

sjhs: I've been informed (by a Vodafone rep via Facebook) that the work that'll affect my connection in Miramar, Wellington should be complete as of today... Here's hoping there's some noticeable change this evening

I understand the work in Mirimar was normal network maintenance work outside of this programme.

Hi everyone

I've been receiving daily updates from the senior project manager who is overseeing this work, he's been keeping an eye on this thread as well and has asked me to pass on this message
"...let the geeks know that we have yet to cut over any nodes in Wellington. Provided that all testing goes well we will be able to cutover later this week. Until we have all the testing 100% completed we cannot go live."

There has been very good progress in Christchurch and they have a busy day ahead, the list of areas has just been updated at http://www.vodafone.co.nz/cableupgrades

Cheers

Thanks for the updates. Would it be possible (possibly on the Community thread?) to keep a historic track of which ones have been done? That way you can easily look and see whether the node you are on (if you know it) has supposedly been done yet. Right now unless you happen to look on the right day you'd have no idea :)

For those of us that don't know what node we are connected to, how can we tell?

r2b2:... Would it be possible ... to keep a historic track of which ones have been done? ...

The main purpose of the thread on Vodafone Community is to communicate about upcoming interruptions to service and for our team to refer to if a customer contacts us because their connection has been interrupted, so it needs to be able to be read quickly and avoid confusion. I'm sure you'll know if work has been fully completed for your connection. :)

Please send me a private message with your account details I'll ask a colleague to check for you.
