One question and one comment-What does BOF stand for?

Broadband over Fibre :)

Was also know as Telecom Brightspark (before Chorus demerger) and is basically several fibre only (no copper phone lines) trials in newish housing estates.

We are on Fusion at the moment with 5GB free and pay for .99cents for the extra data we use over and above that 5GB.
With no extra data usage our basic Fusion plan costs $60.87 before GST.  The most data we have used in one month since being on this rate was last month with 24,538MB.  Our national calls were $1.28 for the month.  We use Skype for International calls.
The new plan doesn't look as if it will benefit us.  I take it the new prices shown here are without GST having been added??

If you move to Fusion 5, you should save $5 per month. If your usage is around the 15GB/month or higher, go to Fusion 20.

GST included you say??
Our Last account froimWxC
Fixed Charges -        $77.25      - includes$16.38 for extra data usage
Variable Charges        $1.28      -national calls
Adjustment/Fees         $0.0
GST                         $11.78
Total amount due     $90.31
Total amount due      $98.31
 after 1/12/12

Looks like the GST is calculated on the total amount here,  therefore if you say the GST is included
are we getting charged twice for some of the charges???

Prices on the website are GST inclusive. Your bill displays exclusive (well, mine does!) with an inclusive total at the end.

Yes, invoices are GST exclusive until added at the end but the question was (or read as if) asking about the prices announced in this thread and they are GST inclusive. Advertisers (in general) should get a life and advertise GST inclusive because everyone pays GST including the ones that can claim it back (later).

Otekate, $77.25 - $16.38 data + 15% = $70 The $16.38 is for the data used in addition to the 5 GB included in the base fee. $16.38 + 15% = $18.84 so I estimate you've used almost 19 GB in addition to the included 5 GB.

Thanks for the explanations.  Think we will stick with what we have-we had a reduction a couple of months ago.  Just want to say too that the customer services etc with Xnet are excellent.
I like the Wannabe Geek title - I've been a 'Sort of Geek' for a while, helping local people sort out problems, set up new computers etc. My grandkids will like my latest title!

Nope, they're cold calling existing customers. Not on the website through...

Well (thanks to seeing the GZ banner ad), the pricing is up on the web. Not appearing on xnet.co.nz though?

RunningMan:
NonprayingMantis: what's with 'FREE' next to every plan. It looks like the only difference between the plans is the amount of data.

Perhaps "included" would be a better description?

Looks like GZ suggestions for wording made it through too ;-)

A bit OT but we work hard to get better ads than just network ones and moving towards sponsorship to some forums. This means in some of the forums you only see one ad instead of multiple. The WorldxChange forum is one example, we have others around ;)

And if you visited their page because of the ad, then that is a win for everyone...
