Here are the stats off my router for traffic between my sure signal and vodafone's vpn serversince I've powered it up:

OUT 283.2KiB (620 packets)
IN 0KiB (0 packets)

Vodafone support people say I need to wait - I doubt time will fix this. I believe it's still a whitelist issue, but their staff are adamant that "Every IP address on every provider has access".

I'm on a Vodafone fixed broadband connection (with a SureSignal) and 124.6.205.17 does not respond to pings.

Thanks, was worth a shot.

I'm actually getting UDP packets back from the vodafone vpn server now. The Sure Signal is still flashing it's power light, and tries sending data every minute, will leave it on for a few days to see what happens, but not holding my breath.

Hello,

I have just received and installed a unit from Vodafone.

(Model: 9361 Home Cell Askey V3).

Connected via Spark Home Broadband.

It took 55 minutes before communicating, works fine.

Indoor reach approx 15-20 meters.

However, I moved the unit to a different room as I noted that the

wi-fi become unstable when located close to the modem/router.

Network Configuration – Router/Firewall
Vodafone Sure Signal requires an IPSec compatible router with ports 8, 50, 500 and 4500 open for incoming and outgoing traffic.

Hi everyone. I've just moved into a new place where my cell coverage is not good. I'm with Voda for cell but Spark for VDSL so was very interested in this discussion. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any conclusive answer so I rang Voda (SureSignal is handled by their business technical team I found after being bounced around a bit). They confirmed that they are quite OK with Sure Signal working with other approved providers, of which Spark is one. They said that often it will just work out of the box but if not, they are now fairly used to assisting at Voda and can then send instructions so that either they or the other provider can do whatever is necessary. So, I ordered it online Monday morning ($199 vs the CelFi solution for Voda connections which is $1400!!). It arrives this morning, I plugged it into the Spark router and ... it worked straight out of the box!. No coverage in parts of the house to a steady 5 bars. Brilliant - thanx Voda.
