I might log a call too - the mobile data freeze is most annoying, and in the middle of tauranga where you'd expect 3g.

But, i also get these SMS to say I missed a call, when my phone was fully connected. (iphone4). Actually, this was happening right outside a vodafone store. If I had time i was going to show them.

I'm not a heavy user so whilst I experience these problems, they happen maybe once or twice a month (happened yesterday morning actually) so not worth the hassle of logging a call imo.

I'm more discouraged by the 3G speed in Wgtn CBD. Compared to Akld CBD and North Shore, and also Queenstown (which was surprising) it's very sluggish.

Ok this is getting ridiculous. I've been having this problem since i purchased iPhone 4 on 30 July. it started as a small every so often thing, but now it happens 4 - 10 times a day. I just had a one our meeting with a client, then came out, sent one sms (which must have reactivated the stalled data ) and i got 5 incoming txts, 5 emails and one message about 5 bloody voicemails i'd missed.

VF have been very good in trying to sort this issue for me but i feel they must have known something was up prior to this forum posting and that i've been just strung along a bit. I can't conduct business like this. There is only so many times you can claim you are having phone issues before the clients lose faith in you.

Thanks for listening to my rant. :)

cheers

Had had this issue on several handsets for the past few weeks. Need to turn phone off and on, or to flight mode and back to restore connectivity. Very frustrating.

Seems to be a 3G issue tho, if I switch to GSM only things work OK.

If only GSM were fast enough to handle the data intensive apps we all love so much.....

SE 510a, SE w880i, N80, Acer Liquid E.

The 510 and the Liquid E both work fine with XT sim, apart from the Acer being limited to XT's 2100 network coverage, or lack of.

CaptainCrunch: If you are using a HTC desire, you may have to reboot the handset and retest.

Let me know if you are still experiencing issues with Youtube.

Also in regards to the issue you are having with data etc.. Have you raised a ticket?

If not can you please message me with the details of your issue and I will follow up.

Thanks

I have raised a ticket. I have just sent you a PM with my INC number. Thanks. I have already tried rebooting the handset and factory resetting.

Google just released an update to youtube - downloaded it today and it seems to be be working.

Cheers

Been having these problems on an IPhone 3GS since around December 2009.... various software versions, various localities.... usually need to switch phone off and on, or cycle airplane mode and restart apps to fix this issue.

Thought I was the only one.....

16:00 on Nov 1st.

My Samsung Galaxy S just spent some period unable to send any txts. North Shore, Rosedale area east of the motorway. I kept re-trying and at 4pm the txts were sent. i didn't re-boot or otherwise (knowingly) alter the state of the phone.

This happens to me once or twice a day with my iPhone 3GS on Vodafone NZ... I recently took the phone to Australia for a week and used an Optus SIM in it. Not one problem and the speed was A LOT faster!!!
