jamesweather: Telstra have credited the connection fee as a gesture of goodwill.
Now a happy customer, and likely to stay with them when the contract ends.
You’ll probably won’t feel so great when you realise that:
a) Your new price only lasts 12 months, after that it goes up automatically to $105 per month
b) Telecom have just permantently upped the data allowance on their packages again ($85 for 30GB now), so had you stayed where you were you would probably only be slightly worse off compared to telstraclear ($75 for 40GB), and had no $80 connection fee to pay and no down time or ringing round call centres sorting things out.
