Hehe I thought that might be the case, confirmed Nexus 5 D820 US non-4G-Edition :( is compatible with Vodafone HD Voice.

BTW a question for my wife: can she purchase mobile broadband (http://www.vodafone.co.nz/mobile-broadband/prepay/) especially data 80 addon while on prepaid freebie? She doesn't want to carry two devices (one for mobile bb and one for answering my phone calls :) and the lack of any good monthly data addon on prepaid freebie is annoying her)

I see, that's a shame. Looks like one has to stick with tethering or get a phone with dual sim support.

Well spotted Mauricio. Yep, we've just put together the video with Lon demoing HD Voice and I've posted about it on Vodafone Community here. The audio is 100% real - Lon's talking on a Note 3 and making a call to another Note 3 which is plugged into the camera.

Personally I most notice the difference HD Voice makes when I go back to normal calls, when I'm using HD Voice everything is clear and nice, but suddenly normal calls sound kind of fuzzy in comparison. :)

You should count yourself lucky ;-) Who wouldn't want to hear johnr's dulcet tones in scintillating HD?

Wait!!  Won't that effect the DC3's delicate navigation equipment ?? :-)
