@kiwifruit if you want to know when facebook alerts are going to be restored its simple.

Ask Facebook support link to this thread if they want my mobile number or email address I am more than happy to pass it over

anyone who is having problems with facebook should contact this 62,000 fan facebook blog that will get the problem lots of publicity:

make sure you fully detail your problem including how long it has been happening. if lots of people send them news tips then the more chance of them doing a story on it.

I noticed today that Vodafone is no longer listed as an option for selection when signing up to Facebook mobile, or in other words 'not supported'. Looks like those of you who want that service will either have to a) switch to telecom or b) get over it

But what is the reason for this? Have Telecom got into bed with Facebook, thus blocking any other operators? Or do other operators just not want to be involved? Seems like a no brainer if you're an operator, as a lot of the young folks will want Facebook mobile!

Where have you seen this? I just checked and both Vodafone and Telecom are listed:

Ah, I stand corrected. It definitely had only Telecom listed when I checked earlier, maybe the page had not loaded properly or something. Just checked again and it does indeed list Vodafone for me too. However, as always, following the instructions gets a 'delivered' message but nothing more.

Txt updates just get horribly annoying anyway. I have over 400 friends on Facebook and find if I have Txt Updates turned on my phone goes insane. I just use the data on my phone and check it that way.

$10 per month for 100mb, it's plenty for Facebook all month long and possibly a bit of Tweeting also :) - It saves you the annoying phone chatter and also gets you more benefits.

Plus, I hate the guys that go "I cn type s0 wel n my ph0ne to c0mment 0n ths status update" It reminds me when I was 13 when I was actually txting like that because I couldn't spell. They possibly can't either but you get my point.

I know that it can be really annoying, but I believe what John is saying, that vodafone is doing the best they can to try to fix it - and I know, it has worked in the past for me but not now, but to be honest, I really are not reliant on Facebook Texts on Vodafone (I find it can get spammy sometimes)

Yes, XT has 0.facebook - but if you look hard enough on the facebook site, it is still a trial... which means vodafone will get it eventually - I think, that some people just need to be patient

Just my opinions...

Clearly they have. Either that or to many people used it so noone else could and then they stopped it and others could join it. Try and see if you can set it up
