What is the impact of this for a 2degrees model? Do I have to keep waiting? What region would I be looking for on those lists?

2degrees have to approve it before Samsung pushes it out. I use http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ to keep track of updates. Looking for new Zealand csc: nzc

Better to use this site is more reliable than Sammobile:
http://live.samsung-updates.com/?device=GT-I9300

Just look for region: NZC or just keep the page open and checking it daily. It won't be long from now for 2Degrees firmware because the Note 2 NZC is already on 4.3 last 2 weeks. My guess is probably sometimes this month or early next month.

So I don't know if I should start another thread for this. But in light of this article :http://phandroid.com/2014/02/18/samsung-galaxy-kitkat-official/

I am wondering if Vodafone will be testing/deploying Kitkat to the S3 ?
I am still waiting for the 4.3 update, but I'll be happy to just get 4.4 instead :P

Ah my device must not be the VF version then, sorry to be a noob but how can I tell for sure ? I got the phone through work so I am unsure where the hardware was purchased from.

Check CSC code

I9300VNZEMC2 = i9300(VNZ)EMC2 = Vodafone

Just click on Software Update button and you will greet with an update is available :) (if you have not rooted or your system has not been modified).

Or your device has been flashed with a Vodafone firmware where originally weren't then you will not be able to update. You can check your CSC version by power your device down and go into Recovery mode. It will say CSC: VNZ if it is vodafone NZ version and Multi CSC.

Alternatively, plug your phone into your computer and running Kies then it will say there is an update for you phone. It will take an infinite amount of time to download. I did this way and it took me hours!!!

Cool thank you IntegerIsNumber, OTA wouldn't work, but managed to do it ok with Kies, only took about 15 mins :)

I got the ROM for Odin flash. If you're in Hamilton then you can have it from me. Else download it from samsung-updates.com

I grabbed the ROM from the link above and flashed my S3.  Now I just need to do my wife's one so we can HD voice each other.

Hmmmm, not sure about this build.  My phone has crashed two times since I installed it.  I never had a problem with the XXUGMK6 build.
