I can empathise with you on this point. My usage usually averages around 1.5Gb so if I take it easy this month there's very little chance of me exceeding the 2Gb limit. Still, I usually regularly check my usage online for extra piece of mind and not being able to do that does make me a bit nervous.

I'm surprised that they couldn't set up some sort of alternative traffic monitoring tool for 3G Broadband users to access while the regular MYA facility is down.


Its not that MYA was down its that the billing system was turned off entirely for the time between the 17th and the 27th of May. all usage in that time was recorded however and stored and is slowly being put back into the new billing system. it is very close to being up to date at the moment and should be done well before the 30th of june that the letters said.

At the moment, My Vodafone is showing my last charged call at "08 June 2007 12:02:15" so its almost there

I checked mine this morning and from memory I think it was up to about the 25th of May so obviously some accounts are being rebuilt faster than others. I can't seem to be able to 'add access' to MYA for my Vodem's connection, so I'm still in the dark as to how much traffic I've used.

I cant see anything at all in MYA. Just asks me to "Add Access". Also I got the impression that after the 27th of March we would be able to txt and get a balance from 777 although it may not be up to date, but when I txt that I just get a txt saying the service is unavailable until June 30

Because the new billing system is realtime, BAL to 777 no longer contains a timestamp so I guess they opted just to turn it off until everyone is up to date, otherwise people wouldn't know when that balance was calculated.

Perhaps the catchup is related to bill cycle, mine is the 3rd and my latest bill was produced on 3rd June so it's possible they'd catchup my bill cycle before later ones (e.g. 7th) so they had the information in time.. who knows if this is how it works though.

As for add to access, if you knew the account/connection PIN's you could set this up again, if not customer services should be able to - I got them to set mine up earlier this week.

[edit] I just checked my other connections which are up to "08 June 2007 11:50:42" and "08 June 2007 17:58:06" on different cycles

I struck that a couple of weeks ago and I managed to add access for my phone connection but when I tried to do this for my Vodem today I didn't have any success.

It depends which CSR you get. with the upgrade a lot of systems have changed. and some things have changed a lot behind the scenes. as more of them learn all the new systems things like this will get easier and quicker

I've just managed to gain access to my Vodem traffic usage information. I think where I went wrong when I tried to do it before is that I entered my PIN into the wrong field out of the three available. This aspect of the process is very confusing.

Anyway, it seems that my traffic usage is up to date and on reflection my outgoing call information probably is also as I don't think I have used my phone in the last week or so. My billing cycle should have commenced from the 22nd of May and mysteriously there seems to be data missing for the period from the 22nd to the 25th of May, but I can quite easily estimate my usage for these four days.

BAL to 777 is working again as all rating is now up to date. This was meant to be the 30th

Yeah, I got an exuberant text meesage at 10:13am that things were back online.


Cool! I thought.


Came home from work and tried to get a balance / billing figure / some joy  but no it's all gone AWOL again.


Oh well, never mind.
