jesterpaul: I hope there is an element of humour in that reply coffeebaron!
Anyone have any idea on what the backhaul situation for Huia is really like? Where can we make the most effective"nose" about this situation? (I doubt Vodafone can do much about it)

Oh, and keeping back on topic, Sure Signal is now sold out!
IlDuce: I see today on the Vodafone Website (which until today said $99/sold out), now is selling the Sure Signal Device version 2.0. Price back up to $349.

2.0 is a higer spec device

I believe you, but in what way? Range is same and number of devices is the same, so what specifically is better about 2.0 version?

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

bloodred6366: Hi, long time vodafone user a
From my experience using suresignal for the last month and a bit, it is a great product HOWEVER.....
I believe data is still being added to my broadband usage even though Part 4 of the SureSignal Terms and Conditions located here http://help.vodafone.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/12505
states that "Data used by the Sure Signal device will not use your monthly broadband usage"
Lodged a complaint and vodafone closed it stating there is no problem.
I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MANY OTHER USERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE?
I personally think that vodafone will remain happy advertising that the suresignal will not use your fixed line broadband data because typical users will prob only use minimal data and those users prob wont bother doing any of their own tests. feel sorry for those with 1GB plans.

?
Good question, shame it was ignored. I'd suggest you do some really good controlled testing, which will involve turning everything off for at least four hours as billing systems can be slow to catch up. Maybe turn everything off overnight, use a set amount of data in the morning, turn everything off again, then check the usage in the afternoon. It'd be like a holiday from the internet.
