I've got a Samsung Tv plugged into a Samsung Soundbar via ARC. The Sky TV box always had the lip sync issue. When we first had the VFTV box we had the lip sync issue.
I switched over to Dolby Digital last night after seeing this thread to try and the lip sync problem seems to be gone. Tried with the various apps as well on the box as well as TV. We now only have the VFTV plugged in to the TV
I have seen (lots!) of other lip sync threads on other websites that indicate that having more than one HDMI connection being passed through may cause the issue and direct connection to the sound bar is best.
vonfluffy: Does anyone have any knowledge to when the app is likely for gen2 boxes?
It should have been Dec 2019 according to VF website :)

Any word on Disney+ support? I'm currently using an nvidia shield with android tv apps & kodi with sky through oscam. The lack of NZ apps on the shield and access to the full ondemand catalogues is annoying as well as the kodi interface. I like the idea of Vodafone TV Gen 2 boxes but the kids are well in to the disney app and they're too young to know how to switch inputs to find disney plus. Disney+ support would allow me to look at switching.. I know it is unlikely to have spark sport due to the sky tie in (shame as it would be a killer deal then) but I can cast from my phone to make that work.

@Benoire You will need to wait for official coms to come out from VodafoneNZ
@linux I guess their attempting to make it work? I presume the box is a worldwide Vodafone approach and therefore it would not just be Voda NZ looking to add this on? I'll also add that having Steam Link on it would be the icing on the cake, would completely remove the need for Android TV!
Yabanize:DjShadow:I'll try my luck again, @sansom any word of The Cheese joining Vodafone TV?
Or the cheese could just go on IHeartRadio?

Are replacement OEM remote controls available for these units? I have a strong feeling a remote control is going to end up being a snack for my dog sooner or later.

I understand there is a process for this. I will look into it tommorow.
Hi @TheMantis
There is currently a process for on account remote replacements, which is handled through the call centre. The process to outright purchase a gen2 remote is still to be finalised, but I would expect those details will be published soon. I'll post a URL here once it's published.
In the meantime, smackos snacks for the dog? :)
Cheers,
Grant
